What is a private picnic?

I am so in love with the new trend of private picnics. I first saw one of these set up when I was walking through Boston before my move back to California a few years ago. I can’t remember exactly where it was but I just remember that it looked like so much fun. Since then, I’ve seen so many cool companies popping up that offer these types of services. From boho chic to over-the-top color (like EVERYTHING purple), they can design a look for anyone.

As an elopement photographer who loves to open my couples minds to possibility, one of the best parts of my job is helping them get ideas for things to do on their day. This has become one of my favorite suggestions. Whether you’re setting up on a beach or in the neighborhood park where you two always take your pup for walks, these pop up picnic spots are so customizable and so much fun!
